Don't blame Sam Gaviglio if he's still on Cloud Nine. The emerging 6-foot-2, 175-pound right-handed pitcher just helped lead Ashland High School to the 5A state baseball title - and this was on the heels of another big accomplishment. Before the big game, Gaviglio learned that his path to college wouldn't involve heading the JC route but instead it would be directly to the Pac-10.
