4 Star Ram Just Keeps On Rising

What it will take for any school in the US to land Connor Humphreys of Central Catholic?  This weekend he is in California taking visits to USC and to UCLA who have both offered him now.  As he prepared to leave on that trip the Tennessee Volunteers made their move and offered him which came in on the heels of a Vanderbilt offer.

Tennessee has offered Connor Humphreys and joins Vanderbilt in leading the charge for this Oregon phenom!
"I am going to look at both UCLA and USC closely this weekend and take advantage of the opportunity to get to know them better," said Connor as we spoke to him this week.  "This is what I need to do to begin to make some decisions for my future."
At USC he is looking to get to know the Coaching staff and discuss with them the program, their thoughts on football and his fit there, and to see how they can prepare him as a linemen for the most success.  He likes some of the big name staff members there and wants to know more.
At UCLA he says it will be more about the campus and the facilities as he knows the staff and what Head Coach Jim Mora and his guys are looking for and what they have to offer.  All of which he likes.
He will come straight home after that and prepare for visits to Oregon and Oregon State.  The Ducks have not offered yet and they might while he is there.  They are just about the only Pac 12 program who has not offered him.  Connor says he would like to have an offer from the Ducks and is of course doing all he can to land one but he is very relaxed right now and he should be.
Last season at 240 he was dominate at the Defensive End spot.  This season at 267 already he is going to be a real problem for any High School program to contain.  As he fills out and adds mass his stock just keeps rising and rightfully so.  His physical gifts are exceeded by his technical skills as a linemen.  He has the best get off we have seen and is a consummate hand fighter showing skills far beyond the average high school linemen.
The Rivals 4 Star has offers from ASU, BSU, Boston College, Cal Bears, OSU, Tennessee, UCLA, USC, Vanderbilt, Washington and some others too .
The Vols positional coaches let him know they needed his film and would begin to evaluate him.  It took a few short hours from the time they watched his film until the time they offered him.  Something that Connor appreciated very much.  The question is becoming one of if he would leave the West to play back East?  He says time will tell.
Most likely he stays out West but schools like Alabama and Notre Dame might have something to say about that before it is all over.  The neat thing is he is going to give it time and make a decision when he is ready which will likely be after he takes all of his official visits.  He is going to have a list of top schools at some point before the Fall he hopes.
Look for Connor Humphreys to move into the Defensive Tackle spot this season and he may end up there in college.  His rare combo of size and speed certainly has him in the upper echelon of the prospects available this season and we expect at least another 10 offers from the Nation's best programs before this process wraps up.
Truly another amazing talent from the great Pacific Northwest!
