This week we had Cristian Morris as a Friday Nights Best nominee in consideration for our Player of The Week. He is 6'0" and 185 and proved out at a 4.5 laser at the SPARQ Combine.
Something few other backs in this Region did. He leads the #1 ranked Sherwood Bowmen and was lights out last week against #4 Wilsonville.
Cristian had 11 carries for 132 yards and 3 TD"s to lead the way in the 35-14 win. More importanly he had 2 crucial picks in the win. That is the sort of player that he is. Next to Tyner he is probably the most complete offensive wepaon in the State or at least in a very small group.
Here is other notes in our Interview tonight with Crisitan Morris of Sherwood.
Update for the Remainder of the Year:
"We have Sandy this week and then we have Putnam to finish off the of the regular season and then on to the playoffs! We are all really excited for this playoff season too."
Who MIght be close
I think Columbia of the Ivy League is pretty close to working something out for me. That would be awesome. I am currently a 3.8 GPA. student and want to Study marketing and go on to work in the business side of Sports .
What Position is best for you in College?
Running Back is great. But I think as a slot my skills are best put to work. My reach, long arms, ability to catch and stride out and just overall that slot is a great spot too.
Stats so Far?
So I have only had 50 touches this season. Beacuse of our offense a lot of guys get into the action which is great. I have 850 yards. But look at my average. 17 yards every time I touch the ball and 10 TD's. That is the stats I am proud of. That is the best yards per carry I think.
I also have had 5 catches for 135 yards and 2 more TD's. I am playing defense too. Last week I had two big picks to help us shut down Wilsonville. So I have had a lot of action.
Final Thoughts:
I know I had a knee injury my Junior year and that cost me the season. BUt it is 100% and I feel so strong. No one should have any concerns about my knee. I am ready to move on next year. Gotta get to State first. This is our only goal!
