Friday Nights Best: Volume 8

 

You asked and we got them for you.  Sorry to be late on these but it has been a crazy week getting ready for the playoffs.  Having said that we have some great additions to Friday Night's Best once again and we want to keep this going .  Wherever you are headed tonight keep your eyes open and make some notes as we will keep this rolling right through the playoffs.  Now here they are fomr last week.

 

Kyle Brown; Bend High School

Vs. Summit 16 Rushes 150 yards and 3 TD's *Set the school all time scoring record with 30 td's on the year. He only played in 9 games this year. He beat out OSU's Matt Sieverson's scoring record of 28 td's from 2003

 

Jordan Perry; Central Caholic

Last Friday in 37-6 win vs. Hood River, Jordan Perry passed for 248 yards and 2 touchdowns and also ran for 130 yards and 2 touchdowns. Voted 1st Team All-Conference, he ended league play completing 66% of passes for 1,248 yards with 17 touchdowns and 0 interceptions. He added 4 touchdowns and 277 yards on the ground in league play.

 

Jacob Dulio; Madison

Rushed for 352 yards against rival Cleveland to secure the 2nd playoff spot in the 5A PIL on Nov. 6

 

Kyle McClenan; Hillsboro

Hill High Versus Liberty he had 2 Sacks, a  Forced Fumble and 2 tackles in a Shut out on Saturday.

 

 

Michael Balfour; Sherwood:

Balfour is a fullback for Sherwood HS. In last weeks game at St Helens, in ankle deep mud, Balfour had to carry the bulk of the Bowmen running game as he powered his way up the middle time and again. Nothing fancy, just good old fashioned hard nosed football. He finished with 22 carries for 119 yards and 2 TD's. The first one from 4 yards out and the second from 5 out. Because of the conditions Sherwood's speed on the outside was largly negated. He absolutely punished tacklers all game long. Everyone in the stadium knew who was getting the ball, and they still couldn't stop him. It was as bad as conditions can be, and he played the whole game with a big smile.

 

 

 

Cameron Abeene; Sheldon:

Abeene rushed for 160 yards and one touchdown, and caught a 2nd touchdown, as the Irish reclaimed the SWC Conference crown. Cameron ended the season as the SWC's leading rusher, and has 10 rushing touchdowns and 4 receiving touchdowns on the year. On the year, Abeene now has 863 yards rushing on just 83 carries, for an incredible 10.4 yards-per-carry average.

 

Jordan Johnson; Sheldon:

Johnson was unstoppable as the Irish defeated South Medford in their final league game. Johnson rushed for 147 yards and 4 touchdowns in the first half, then threw for 3 touchdowns in the second half (ended the game 15 of 20 for 187 yards passing). Johnson ends the regular season as the state's leading QB, with a 74% completion percentage, 2,220 yards, 33 touchdowns, and just 2 interceptions. He's also the state's 4th leading rusher, with 799 yards on 83 carries, an average of 9.6 yards per carry.

 

John Campbell; Sheldon:

 

Campbell was once again brilliant against South Medford, as Sheldon recaptured the SWC league championship. He finished the game with 9 catches for 128 yards and a touchdown. John also blocked his third kick of the season. Campbell ends the regular season as Oregon's leading receiver, with 52 catches, 1,145 yards, and 16 receiving touchdowns. He's averaging an incredible 127 yards per game after 9 games.

 

Bryan Sablan; Knappa:

241 yards rushing and three touchdowns against Portland Christian.

 

Nick Bradley; Sutherlin:

316 yards on 16 carries with 5 rushing TDs.
