Catch Our Story Here
It is hard to imagine anyone who followed football in Oregon in the 1980′s not remembering his name. It struck fear into many an opponent and his #19 was called and shouted often at Oregon State where he did some legendary things.
He was one of the greatest athletes to every come out of Oregon and was an All American and named Gatorade Player Of The Year. The 1981 Graduate of Aloha was truly special in every way and was known by those closest to him as “Magic Mike”!
This Saturday at Aloha High School at 5 PM the Celebration of Life will take place. There will be several featured speakers who knew him well and a time for anyone else to share their stories and memories of the Warrior.
The family is also hosting an event after the memorial at Mike’s home in Aloha, Oregon and attendees are invited to attend that as well.
TeamCure was Mike’s passion this last few years of his life as he and his family worked tirelessly to find a cure for ALS. They did a lot of work and held many events really moving the goal posts along on this issue. He was a beloved man on and off the field and dedicated to his two daughters and all who he was around.
This will be a special time to remember a truly great Oregon High School and College athlete and person.
We hope to see you there!
