Weekend Battle for Dominance: Picture Shows Here!

Well Football Fans Week #2 is done in Oregon High School football. We learned that the world we thought we knew was not quite the reality.

Sheldon Smacks Central Catholic after the Euphoria of week one's Rams victory over Lake Oswego. Sheldon sure looks to be a solid choice for #1 but they lost super star Curtis White and for how long who knows. Here are some great pics by special envoy to Oregon Preps.com Alex McDougall.

Then we have Grant who holds off Westview in a battle at the Grant bowl that showed us that both of the teams deserve a Top 10 ranking. Grant had beaten 5A power Jefferson by 2 the week before proving Jefferson can hang with the bigger schools and compete at any level. Grant and Westview are loaded with talent and we expect both to make play off runs. Here are some incredible pictures of the heated action at the Grant Bowl.

After Grant and Westview it was on to Hillsboro where we watched in amazement as Colt Lyerla lit up the field scoring 7 touchdowns on 11 total touches; three were called back but Colt is amazing. beyond that The Sparts aerial assault went on to put up 300 yards adding to the 200 plus yards on the ground. Hillsboro, a 5A School, but the hurt on 6A Hood River Value 72-22 and that was the score at the end of the 3rd quarter evoking the "Mercy Rule" and running the clock out on the 4th quarter. This weeks showdown of Hillsboro and 2 time State Champs West Albany (59-2) is going to be one for the ages. Here is a great photo album as well of that Game!
